Cyclic photo-voltammetry

The "Cyclic photo-voltammetry" program is used for studies of photoelectrical phenomena in electrochemistry. This program records cyclic voltammetric curves for electrodes excited by chopped light. The chopper is controlled by STMC module. The program draws in the same time two separeted voltammograms - one for "dark" current and second for "light" current.

The "Cyclic photo-voltammetry" program with KSP measurement system can be used for investigations of phenomena in e.g. semiconductor electrodes, photoelements, light-sensitive membranes.

Hardware

The program controls the KSP measurement system with following modules:

 DPTG-460 - programmable potentiostat/galvanostat
ADC-1204 - analog-to-digital convereter
DAC-1201 - digital-to-analog convereter
TIMER-49 - programmable timer
STMC-240 - controller for stepper motors

Features of the program

  • Run, Stop commands
  • saving of data and printing of the report
  • writting of data as a text file for using in worksheets and graphic programs
  • selection 2-, 3- or 4-electrode system
  • setting up to 10 methods (sets of measurement parameters and experiment descriptions)
  • readout of data directly from the graph
  • direct calculation of resistance in selected part of the graph
  • direct calculation of charge in selected part of the graph

  •  Main window of the "Cyclic photo-voltammetry" program
